Baguette - The Viet Inspired Deli
Described as “a pleasurable assault on the senses” by URBAN, Straits Times Singapore, Baguette is an authentic Vietnamese street food inspired delicatessen based in Singapore. Baguette specializes in the famous Saigon Baguette (Banh Mi Thit) and Lime Soda (Soda Chanh). Baguette is the brain child of Wei Chan. He was inspired after taking his first bite of the Banh Mi Thit, introduced by his Vietnamese friends in Canada in the early 90’s. Upon returning to Singapore, he embarked on a culinary journey to the home of Saigon Baguette, Ho Chi Minh City, to learn the art of making baguettes Viet-style. And to accommodate the palate of the well-heeled Singaporeans & expatrites, he “gourmetized” the Banh Mi Thit by using premium products.

May 2009 1st Baguette Deli Concept opened in Hitachi Tower, Raffles Place.
